What is a Guardian?

A Guardian in estate planning terms is someone who you appoint in your Will, or otherwise, to act as the person who has responsibility for and care for any children you have that are minors at the date of your death. They will have to act jointly with anybody who has parental responsibility or any other Guardian that you or the children’s other parent appoint.
